On The World StageWith Hans's Oscar nomination, he had caught the attention of the world. The next year Zimmer scored the soundtrack for Driving Miss Daisy, which also won an Academy Award for Best Picture of the Year.
With two best picture films under his belt, Hans was hired to compose the score for The Lion King, which earned six awards including an Academy Award for Best Original Score, and two Grammy Awards. Some of Hans's most awarded film scores during the 90's and early 2000's include Gladiator, As Good As It Gets, The Preacher's Wife, The Thin Red Line, The Prince of Egypt, and The Last Samurai. In recent years, some of Hans's most well known compostions are is scores for, The Da Vinci Code, Inception, all of the Pirates of The Caribbean franchise, The Dark Knight Rises and along with many others. |
